visa caracterizar o perfil epidemiol\u00f3gico das UTIs mexicanas e compartilhar informa\u00e7\u00f5es que possam ser \u00fateis para orientar pol\u00edticas de sa\u00fade e estrat\u00e9gias para melhorar o cuidado dos pacientes cr\u00edticos no pa\u00eds.<\/p><p>Al\u00e9m disso, o projeto pretende estimular o uso de indicadores de qualidade e desempenho na gest\u00e3o das UTIs adulto e pedi\u00e1tricas e, com isso, melhorar a qualidade da medicina intensiva e aumentar a seguran\u00e7a dos pacientes no M\u00e9xico.<\/p><p>Iniciativas semelhantes na Am\u00e9rica Latina e na Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e9rica, como parte do projeto UCIs Ibero-americanas, e em pa\u00edses como Reino Unido (ICNARC), Austr\u00e1lia e Nova Zel\u00e2ndia (ANZICS-CORE), Holanda (NICE) e B\u00e9lgica (MICA) s\u00e3o essenciais para melhorar a qualidade e a seguran\u00e7a dos pacientes cr\u00edticos e s\u00e3o uma base importante para projetos que visam melhorar a efici\u00eancia da UTI e promover
